Terms of Purchase

Online store Furniture24.ie (hereinafter Online store), owner Urban retail UAB, registration code 306361544, located in Perkūnkiemio g. 19, Vilnius.

 

Validity of the sales contract, product, and price information

The terms of sale apply to the purchase of goods in the online store.

The prices of products sold in the online store are indicated next to the products.

Shipping charges may vary depending on the buyer's location and delivery method.

Shipping charges are displayed at checkout.

The product specifications and information are presented in the online store directly next to the product.

The prices are in EUR and include 23% VAT.

 

Offer and Conclusion of Contract

The presentation of products in Furniture24.ie does not constitute a legally binding offer but rather an invitation to the customer to submit a binding order (offer to conclude a contract).

By clicking the order button, the customer places a binding order for the products listed on the order page.

Immediately after receiving the order, the seller confirms receipt of the order via email. The purchase contract is only concluded when the seller confirms the dispatch of the goods via email (order or shipping confirmation) or at the latest upon delivery of the goods.

For payment in advance, the purchase contract is concluded upon confirmation of receipt of the prepayment by the seller.

 

Paperless billing

We are implementing paperless invoicing in our activities, and in connection with this, all documents related to the invoicing (prepayment invoice, invoice, credit note) are sent to the e-mail specified during the placement of the order.

After the payment in cash or by a credit card during delivery, the courier sends a confirmation of payment and an invoice to the email address specified during order placement.

 

Placing an order

To place an order, selected product(s) must be added to the shopping cart. To proceed with the order, in the checkout page, customer’s personal information must be entered in the required data fields and the preferred method of delivery must be selected. The total amount will be displayed, and the preferred payment method must be chosen from the available selection.

The order fulfillment process will begin from the moment of its confirmation by phone; however, a letter of confirmation will also be sent to the e-mail entered in the checkout.

If the ordered goods cannot be delivered due to stock issues or for any other reason, the buyer will be notified as soon as possible, and the money paid will be returned immediately, but not later than 14 days from the date of sending the notification.

 

Delivery

The goods are delivered throughout Ireland.

By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer agrees to cover the shipping costs of the goods, whilst the corresponding price information is displayed next to the delivery method.

Shipments throughout Ireland will be delivered to the destination specified by the buyer, within the time indicated in the product specifications section, in the page of each separate product.

Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, the delivery times may be longer than indicated on the website. In such cases, the client will be notified by phone or e-mail about any possible delays or changes in the schedule of delivery, and the goods will be delivered at the time agreed upon with the client.

Taking photos of packages upon delivery

- For the purpose of confirming successful delivery, Furniture24 reserves the right, on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), to have the delivery person take a photograph of the delivered packages at the delivery location (e.g. in front of the entrance, in the hallway, etc.) upon delivery. The photograph serves as proof of delivery and as a means of internally ensuring the quality of services.

- When taking photographs, delivery personnel focus exclusively on the packages and make every effort to avoid capturing personal data (such as faces, names, vehicle registration plates, etc.). In the event that such data is inadvertently captured, it will not be processed for any other purpose, will not be shared with third parties, and will be used solely for the internal purposes set out above, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.

- The photographs are stored internally and only for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose of processing, generally until the expiry of statutory deadlines for lodging complaints, warranties, or other legal claims, and for a maximum of three years from the date of delivery. After this period, they are securely deleted.

- The buyer has the right to request information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object in accordance with Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in relation to the photographs and any personal data. The buyer may exercise the right to object at any time if they believe that their interests or fundamental rights and freedoms outweigh the legitimate interests of the company. - The company implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. The photographs are stored in a secure system with restricted access, available only to authorised personnel.

Right of return

The right of return does not apply if the buyer is a legal entity.

The cost of returning the goods will be covered by the seller.

Upon retrieval of the returned goods, the online store shall return the costs paid by the buyer under the contract immediately, but no later than after 14 days.

The online store may refuse to refund payments until the item subjected to the contract has been retrieved, or until the buyer provides proof that the item has been sent back, whichever occurs first.

If the buyer has chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method, the online store is not obliged to refund the buyer the cost that exceeds the costs of the standard delivery method.

The online store has the right to withdraw from the sale transaction and demand the return of the goods from the buyer if, due to a mistake, the price of the goods in the online store at the time of the purchase was significantly lower than the market price of the goods.

Other types of paid services which are purchased directly from the delivering transport company are non-refundable (e.g., assembling service) by us.

 

Defective goods / Right to a warranty claim

All products have a two-year manufacturer's warranty. Under the terms of the contract, the online store is responsible for the discrepancies or defects of the goods sold to the buyer, which already existed at the time of delivery, and which become apparent within two years from the delivery of the goods to the buyer. During the first six months from the date of delivery of the goods to the buyer, it is presumed that the defect already existed at the time of delivery. It is the responsibility of the online store to refute the respective assumption.

In case of defects, according to the law, the buyer has the right to contact the online store within two months by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or by contacting the contact number: +353 81 8002780.

In addition, Furniture24.ie offers a 365-day money-back guarantee for its products.

The online store is not responsible for defects that have occurred after the transfer of the goods to the buyer.

If the product purchased from the online store has defects for which the online store is responsible, the online store will repair or replace the defective product or its parts. If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, the online store will return all the costs associated with the sales contract to the buyer.

The online store shall respond to the consumer's complaint in writing or in a form that can be reproduced in writing within 15 days.

 

365-day money-back guarantee

The buyer has the option to return the goods and get their money back without a valid reason within 365 days of the purchase. The buyer does not have to pay the return costs. The online store’s logistics department will contact the buyer and arrange an arrival time of the courier with the buyer.

For the product to be returned it must meet the following requirements:

  • - The item(s) must be packed in their original packaging (the buyer can open the packaging by carefully cutting the packing tape);
  • - Good quality products that have been assembled or were attempted to be assembled cannot be returned;
  • - The product cannot be returned if it was damaged due to the fault of the buyer;
  • - In cases where the reason for the return is poor quality, the online store will replace the damaged product(s) or its poor-quality parts, or refund the amount paid by the buyer after the product is returned;
  • - The goods to be returned will be picked up from the nearest place accessible by van;
  • - Return of furniture will occur within 5 working days or another period of time if there was a prior agreement.

A defective or damaged product will be replaced in accordance with Irish law.

 

Customer reviews and ratings

We display customer reviews on our website to provide transparency and help customers make informed purchasing decisions. These reviews come from three sources: product-specific reviews collected via Trustvoice, general company reviews from Google, and reviews hosted on Trustpilot.

Trustvoice product-specific reviews:

Customer reviews and ratings are part of the functionality of the online store and are intended for the user community. Furniture24.ie only collects reviews from those customers who have made an actual purchase in the Furniture24.ie online store or in one of the affiliated online stores abroad.

After their order is completed and they have received the ordered product, customers receive an email from the online store in which they can give their rating of the received product, from one (worst rating) to five stars (best rating), and they can also write their opinion about the product or attach a photo, which Furniture24.ie will review before final publication.

Furniture24.ie will not publish opinions or contributions that do not directly relate to the product, are in any way offensive, inappropriate, or that, in Furniture24.ie's opinion, do not provide benefits to other users and visitors.

For each item, all customer reviews that meet the above criteria will be published after review, regardless of the rating. Furniture24.ie collects and publishes reviews from customers who have made a purchase at Furniture24.ie or one of its affiliated stores. After the order is delivered, customers will receive an email to the email address they used when placing the order, in which the online store invites them to rate the items received.

By submitting an opinion or comment, the user agrees to the terms of use of his opinion or comment, unless otherwise stated. Furniture24.ie allows the publication of part or the entire text in all electronic and other media and has the right to use the content of the opinion or comment indefinitely and for any purpose that is in the business interest of Furniture24.ie, including publication in advertisements or other marketing communications. The author of the opinion simultaneously declares and guarantees that he is the owner of the material and moral copyrights for the written opinions and comments and that he transfers these rights to Furniture24.ie on a non-exclusive and unlimited basis.

Trustpilot reviews:

Trustpilot reviews consist of both verified feedback collected through automated post-purchase invitations and organic, unverified reviews submitted independently by customers. All of the verified reviews have a “verified” tag next to them.

Verified reviews are clearly marked with a 'Verified' label to indicate that the feedback was collected through an invitation process of a confirmed purchase.

We display selected public reviews from Truspilot Reviews with a rating of 4 or 5 stars on the homepage of our website. All received reviews, including lower ones, are available here. The display does not necessarily represent the full range of opinions.

 

Direct marketing and processing of personal data

The online store uses the personal data provided by the buyer (incl. name, phone number, address, e-mail address, bank details) only to process the order and to send the goods to the buyer.

The online store sends newsletters or promotional offers to the e-mail address of the buyer only if the buyer has applied to receive them by entering his e-mail address on the website and has indicated his/her wish to receive direct mail notifications.

The buyer may opt out of receiving promotional offers and newsletters at any time by notifying the online store by e-mail or by following the instructions included in the e-mails containing the offers.

 

Transfer of personal data to third parties

To assess the quality of the purchased goods, the customer may be contacted via e-mail after the order has been completed. The customer is asked to leave a review about the purchased product and to evaluate it. For this purpose, the buyer's e-mail address may be shared with third parties. Furniture24.ie uses the platform TestFreaks AB, Norrtullsgatan 6, 113 29 Stockholm, Sweden to process customers’ feedback.

If a visitor has subscribed to the Furniture24.ie newsletter and provided their e-mail address, it may be passed on to third parties. The Furniture24.ie newsletter service is provided by UAB MailerLite, Jono Basanavičiaus str. 15, LT-03108 Vilnius, Lithuania.
