Velvet is a fabric with a luxurious texture and appearance, characterised by its soft, velvety surface. It is a shadowed fabric, meaning it tends to shift in shade depending on the lighting. Velvet looks particularly striking in rich, earthy tones such as green, deep brown, grey, and blue. Modern velvet is often made with blends of synthetic fibres, viscose, or polyamide. This elegant material is currently very popular in interior design and is widely used for furniture and decorative items like cushions. Velvet blends beautifully into home interiors, making it a fabric well worth considering when choosing new upholstery. Over time, some areas of the fabric may lose their soft velvet texture — this is a natural part of the fabric’s charm and character. How to care for velvet: To refresh the fabric, use a soft-bristled brush or a handheld steamer. If any liquid is spilled, blot it immediately with an absorbent cloth — do not rub, as this may damage the fabric. Use only cleaners specifically designed for velvet or warm water with mild soap. Always test any cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first.

T25 polyurethane foam

Polyurethane foam, also known as foam rubber, is an extremely lightweight material that evenly distributes body weight and helps maintain proper spinal alignment. Its firmness and elasticity directly depend on its density. T25 polyurethane foam has a density of 25 kg/m³, which means the mattress is firmer and offers stronger support for the spine. This type of foam is also more resistant to deformation, making it a durable and supportive choice for everyday use.

Spring lift mechanism

The spring-assisted mechanism works using built-in springs that absorb part of the load, making it easier to lift the bed base. While the springs ease the lifting process, some effort is still required from the user. If needed, the strength of the mechanism can be reduced simply by removing one or more springs.

Bonnell springs

These are cone-shaped metal springs combined with a polyurethane foam and felt base. This type of spring ensures excellent air circulation, helping to prevent moisture build-up inside the mattress. Mattresses with Bonnell springs respond quickly to changes in body position. As the springs are firmly connected to one another, they tend to move as a single unit, offering firm and uniform support.
