Built-in appliances and corner units are deeper, as they do not include this service gap. When viewed from above, the gap is hidden by the worktop, which fits snugly against the wall. If cabinets are sold without a worktop, it must be purchased separately and fitted manually. The worktop is fixed in place with screws. Worktops are supplied without pre-cut openings for sinks or hobs. When buying a corner cabinet, make sure to also purchase a worktop connector to avoid a visible gap at the corner joint.
Mounting wall cabinets is a key part of furniture assembly. Before installation, ensure that the screws you use are appropriate for the wall type, as this directly affects stability and safety. Fixing screws are not included with wall-mounted or hanging furniture, so you’ll need to supply them yourself.
