Velour can be made from either natural or synthetic fibres ā most commonly cotton, polyester, or a blend of both. It is produced using a knitted construction, which gives the fabric a slight stretch. With proper care, velour-upholstered furniture can retain its original appearance for longer. To remove dust, use a soft-bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment. If liquid spills occur, blot the surface gently with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub the fabric, as this can damage the pile.
