Additional information

Velvet

Velvet is a fabric with a luxurious texture and appearance, characterised by its soft, velvety surface. It is a shadowed fabric, meaning it tends to shift in shade depending on the lighting. Velvet looks particularly striking in rich, earthy tones such as green, deep brown, grey, and blue. Modern velvet is often made with blends of synthetic fibres, viscose, or polyamide. This elegant material is currently very popular in interior design and is widely used for furniture and decorative items like cushions. Velvet blends beautifully into home interiors, making it a fabric well worth considering when choosing new upholstery. Over time, some areas of the fabric may lose their soft velvet texture – this is a natural part of the fabric’s charm and character. How to care for velvet: To refresh the fabric, use a soft-bristled brush or a handheld steamer. If any liquid is spilled, blot it immediately with an absorbent cloth – do not rub, as this may damage the fabric. Use only cleaners specifically designed for velvet or warm water with mild soap. Always test any cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first.

Zig Zag springs

Zigzag springs are among the most popular choices in upholstered furniture manufacturing. They are mounted at equal spacing along the furniture frame. Thanks to their curved, serpentine shape, these springs are both flexible and durable. As a result, upholstered furniture retains consistent seating comfort throughout its use.

'Dolphin' unfolding mechanism

This is a simple and convenient solution that allows you to transform the furniture into a bed with minimal effort. The drawer located beneath the seat section is discreetly hidden, and once pulled out, it reveals a comfortable sleeping surface. To unfold the bed, simply pull the lower section towards you to slide out the drawer containing the additional mattress. Then, using the built-in loop, lift the mattress upwards into position. The sleeping surface is slightly firmer than standard options. Thanks to the fixed backrest, this piece of furniture can be placed directly against a wall without affecting its functionality.

Freestanding

Fully upholstered back. Suitable for placement in the center of the room.

Fabrics

Zoya fabric

A soft fabric designed with durability in mind. Its surface is resistant to scratches caused by pet claws, making it a great choice for homes with animals. It also features a protective coating that prevents liquids from being quickly absorbed. Spills remain on the surface and can be easily wiped away with a clean cloth. Thanks to its gentle texture, the fabric subtly shifts in shade depending on the lighting. To preserve its properties and appearance, it is recommended to clean the surface using only specialist cleaning products intended for upholstery.

It's aesthetically very nice and it's good, although I must say it's a little hard.

Nice sofa. It also holds up well to cats running over the sofa on a ladder.
