The couch was very easy to assemble but it is a bit heavy so it's recommended you have someone to help you. The side was already pre selected and you can turn it the other way (the L) I wish they would give you the option already to have it the way you want it. The couch is nice but a bit hard. The color is really like that and I like the almost leather look that has.
